In the Middle of Change (And Finding My Way Through It)

This season feels like a bit of a reset for me.

If you’ve been into the studio recently, you’ve probably noticed… we’re still in it. Things aren’t perfectly finished. There are pieces I still want to change, details I’m figuring out, and moments where it all feels a little “in progress.”

But functionally, we’re here. And right now, that’s enough.

This move into a home studio wasn’t just about a new space. It came from something bigger happening behind the scenes in my life.

Over the past few years, I’ve stepped into motherhood. Then into being a mom of two. And now, we’re starting our homeschooling journey, which is something that feels really important for our family.

This new setup is giving us something I couldn’t quite create before: more flexibility, more presence, and the ability to build a rhythm that actually supports the life we want for our boys.

And if I’m being honest, this whole season has reminded me of something I see in so many of my clients too:

We are almost always in some form of transition.

The In-Between Is Where We Live Most of the Time

We tend to think of change as these big, defining moments. Moving. Having kids. Starting something new.

But most of life isn’t those big moments.

It’s the in-between.

It’s routines shifting.Priorities changing.Letting go of what used to work and figuring out what works now.

Even the physical space I’m in right now reflects that. It’s not fully done, but it’s moving in the right direction. It’s a little messy, a little unfinished, but full of potential.

And honestly, that’s what so many seasons of life feel like.

If you’re in one of those seasons too, you’re not doing it wrong. You’re just in it.

When Everything Feels Like It’s Shifting, Anchor Instead of Overhaul

When life is changing, the instinct is often to try to control more. Build a better routine. Get more disciplined. Do more.

But what I’ve found, both personally and in working with clients, is this:

You don’t need a complete reset.

You need something steady to come back to.

Instead of trying to figure everything out, choose one or two small things that ground you.

Something simple. Something repeatable. Something that still works on the days when everything else feels off.

It might look like:

  • A short walk to clear your head

  • A few minutes of breathing to reconnect to your body

  • One strength session a week

  • Getting outside for fresh air

  • Five minutes of movement in the morning

Not a full routine. Not a perfect plan. Just an anchor.

Because when everything else is shifting, those small, consistent pieces matter more than you think.

Starting Fresh (Or Starting Again)

There’s something I remind my clients of often:

You don’t have to start over in a big, dramatic way. You can start quietly. Gently. Right where you are.

If you’re looking for a place to begin, focus on movement that helps you reconnect before you try to push forward.

Start with your breath.Start with your core.Start with simple, controlled movement.

That’s where strength actually builds from.

Where Growth Happens

This chapter feels new, a little unfinished, and very real.

And I think that’s why I wanted to share it.

Because so many of us are navigating change in some way, whether it’s visible or not. And it can feel uncomfortable to be in that in-between space where things aren’t fully settled yet.

But there’s also something really powerful about it.

It’s where growth happens.

It’s where we adjust.

It’s where we learn what actually works for us now.

Thank you for being here with me, in this season and in this space. I’m really glad you’re part of it.
